Salt Lake City International Airport

The JW Group (JWG) was part of a team of consultants in a multiyear capital development program to enhance IT systems and to provide increased support for Delta Airlines at the Salt Lake City International Airport. As part of that project, the team was involved with the coordination and design of numerous Information Systems and building programs simultaneously including the development of the Central Screening Warehouse.

The JWG supported this project by developing documentation including the Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation. The work effort also included the coordination and development of design documentation for all required local area network (active equipment), cabling and infrastructure for campus and facility connectivity, pathways to support connectivity, room and rack/cabinet layouts, data/voice drops within the facility, and infrastructure to support VMS/CCTV and CASS. The VMS/CCTV and CASS scope of work included the placement/location of all end-devices (cameras and CASS portals/ancillary equipment).  In addition, the requirements for any system head-end modifications were identified, coordinated with the SLCDA IT department and included in the design/construction documentation. Coordination will be performed to support the connection requirements of the Service Provider(s) to provide access to the Wide Area Network (Internet and Telecommunications) to the operator(s) of the facility. Requirements will be identified, and the appropriate pathways/cabling will be provided to support these connections. The JWG also provided support as required during the bidding and award phase and the construction phase of the project.
