Project Description
The JW Group (JWG) was part of a team of consultants in a multiyear capital development program to enhance IT systems and to provide increased support for Delta Airlines at the Salt Lake City International Airport. As part of that project, the team was involved with the coordination and design of numerous Information Systems and building programs simultaneously including the development of a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).
The JWG team members were tasked with developing the overall requirements for the COOP specific to the Airport. The result of this effort was a COOP template and recommended implementation plan for developing the airport-wide COOP that was integrated with the airports’ mandated disaster recovery plan and emergency processes and procedures. Following the development of the COOP template, an IT Division COOP was completed that was specific to the IT Division and in-line with the overall airport-wide COOP template. Future phases are anticipated to include the airport-wide COOP that applies to all divisions throughout the airport.
